The Salishan Remodel was a full gut interior remodel of a multi-level coastal home, transforming a challenging five-level layout into a more functional, cohesive, and inviting living environment. The goal was to improve the home’s flow while creating a warm, modern interior that feels naturally connected to its coastal surroundings.
A new interior layout brought the kitchen into the main living area, creating a more open and connected space for cooking, entertaining, and gathering. The original kitchen was transformed into a dedicated dining room, providing better separation between cooking, dining, and relaxing while improving the overall flow of the home.
Custom white oak cabinetry became a defining design element throughout the remodel. The natural wood was carried into matching beam wraps and a custom cable handrail system, creating visual continuity across the home’s multiple levels and stairways. These custom details add warmth and character while complementing the home’s relaxed coastal aesthetic.
The primary bathroom was completely redesigned with a custom shower featuring natural materials and thoughtful detailing. The space was designed to create a calm, spa-like atmosphere that reflects the relaxed character of Salishan while providing improved functionality for everyday living.
The completed Salishan Remodel brings together functional interior design, custom cabinetry, natural materials, and modern coastal styling. Every space was thoughtfully reworked to improve how the five-level home functions while maintaining a warm and connected feel.
